ANN ARBOR, MI (AP)-- Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has been released from the hospital after undergoing treatment for a blood clot in his right leg related to an Achilles tendon injury he suffered last month.
Snyder spokeswoman Sara Wurfel says the governor was released Monday, four days after being admitted.
She says the 56-year-old Republican has some travel and activity restrictions, but was "doing good" and still plans to present his budget proposal to lawmakers on Wednesday.
Wurfel says Snyder worked from a hospital room over the weekend and rested. He was admitted to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital near his Ann Arbor home Thursday after noticing swelling in his leg.
Snyder tore his Achilles tendon while jogging in Florida when he was on vacation. He's been in a protective boot and using a scooter.
