LANSING, MI-- The Michigan Senate has passed legislation that would ban the use of drones to harass hunters or take game.
The bills, sponsored by Senators Tom Casperson and Phil Pavlov, were introduced after reports that anti-hunting groups were using unmanned aerial vehicles to stalk or spy on hunters.
Pavlov says a drone ban was enacted in Alaska after a moose was killed by a hunter who was using one.
The legislation now heads to the house for consideration.
