(MACKINAC COUNTY, Mich) - Nine major road projects are slated to get underway in Michigan this week including one in the U.P.
M-DOT is putting nearly $8-million towards resurfacing 10 miles of US-2 in Mackinac County. The project covers US-2 from Cut River to Worth Road and from Wildwood Lane to Brevort Lake Road and will include asphalt resurfacing, joint repairs, guardrail replacements, and pavement markings. The project is expected to support about 100 jobs.
In April, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed the Building Michigan Together Plan, a bipartisan plan to invest nearly $5 billion in Michigan’s infrastructure, grow the economy, and create jobs.
