Undated - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is holding a public to discuss the upcoming project to rebuild the M-26 bridge over the Silver River between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor.
MDOT plans to invest about $2.9 million to remove and replace the M-26 bridge over the Silver River in Keweenaw County this summer. The bridge has had one lane closed since fall 2021 due to deterioration of one of the culvert's historic stone retaining walls.
During the project, traffic will be detoured for approximately 10 weeks via a posted route on US-41.
The public meeting will be held Tuesday, March 21st from 3-to-4pm at the Eagle Harbor Township Office and online.
