MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette County Planning Division is holding a series of events to gather public input on current planning processes.

The Map the Future events are an opportunity for residents to help guide the Division's update of the Marquette County 2040 Master Plan.

Attendees can expect to hear from county planners on local demographics and trends and learn about related planning processes underway. They can provide feedback on topics like economy, health and human services, housing, recreation, transportation, and environment.

The meetings will be held:

  • Monday, May 4 at Jerzi’s 41 in Champion
  • Thursday, May 7 at Barrel & Beam in Marquette
  • Thursday, May 14 at the Up North Lodge in Gwinn
  • Thursday, May 21 at the Mather in Ishpeming

All events run from about 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and are drop-in friendly. A presentation by county planners will take place shortly after 6:00.
