MDHHS calls out Hancock nursing facility for quality of care

HANCOCK, MI— A Hancock nursing home is under fire from the state of Michigan.

Keweenaw Report says the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released a 106-page report on the Mission Point facility. It details a series of complaints, including low staffing levels that severely affected patient care, inadequate meals, and corporate headquarters ignoring complaints from employees.

The report said, “This deficient practice resulted in widespread neglect of all 42 facility residents at a level of immediate jeopardy.”

The full report can be found here.
