MARQUETTE, MI-- Contact tracing has led to a Marquette bar as a possible COVID-19 public exposure site.
The Marquette County Health Department says a positive individual was at the Wooden Nickel August 25th and 26th from 5 p.m. to close. Anyone who was at the Nickel at those times should monitor themselves for symptoms of the coronavirus. They should contact their medical provider if they become symptomatic.
Health Department officials say the number of COVID cases in Marquette County rose significantly after the 4th of July holiday. They’re hoping the same doesn’t happen during the Labor Day holiday, so they remind residents to mask up, keep their distance from others, avoid going anywhere if they have even mild symptoms, avoid sharing personal items, and wash their hands often.
