Health initiative Mask Up Marquette launched

MARQUETTE, MI--   A new community health campaign in Marquette County is urging people to wear a mask, wash their hands, socially distance and stay home when they feel sick.

Mask Up Marquette! is sponsored by the Marquette County Health Department and the Marquette County Planning Division. It encourages COVID-19 prevention measures and offers a website that contains local and regional coronavirus data and resources for the general public. It also has downloadable #maskupmqt outreach materials.

Health officials say as COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations rise in the upper Midwest it is more important than ever to stay vigilant with key preventative measures to slow the spread of the virus as we enter the winter season.
