MARQUETTE, MI— The United Way of Marquette County is teaming up with DoorDash to deliver food from local pantries to residents in need.
United Way Executive Director Andrew Rickauer says the partnership with DoorDash, particularly through the Project DASH initiative and Ride United Last Mile Delivery program, has already delivered more than 100 million meals nationwide since 2018. With the support of Huntington Bank and the Michigan Community Service Commission, the support has been extended into Marquette County.
“This campaign is a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and provide direct assistance to those in need,” Rickauer says. “This program is particularly critical in the Marquette area, where access to resources can be limited for some residents.”
The Ride United Last Mile Delivery program focuses on delivering essential items to individuals and families who may face transportation barriers or other challenges in accessing food and supplies.
