New place for Iron River residents to meet with State Police

IRON RIVER, MI (AP)--   State Police from the Iron Mountain Post are meeting with Iron River citizens at a new venue.

Troopers will talk about local issues with the public every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Intermission Café in Angeli’s Plaza.

Post commander First Lieutenant Christine Grabowski says it gives Iron River residents an opportunity to contact troopers in Iron County without driving to Iron Mountain or having to talk on the phone.

State Police are also meeting with the public in Crystal Falls at the city hall from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
