Foul play not a factor in missing man's death

MARQUETTE, MI--   The death of a missing Marquette County man was not the result of foul play.

That’s the determination of the Sheriff’s Office and County Medical Examiner. Nicholas Suardini was last seen May 13 in the Charley Lakes area of Tilden Township. His body was found May 26 in a wooded area northeast of his last known point.

Investigation revealed Suardini died soon after leaving his mother’s house near Charley Lakes. Officials say autopsy evidence is consistent with the finding of the cause and manner of Suardini’s death.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
