UPDATE: Chocolay Township man with Alzheimer's missing

UPDATE, 11:30 a.m.: The Chocolay Police Department says thanks to the public's help, the man has been found.

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI— Police are asking for help in finding a missing Chocolay Township man with Alzheimer’s.

The resident was last seen Wednesday around 8 a.m. at the Trenary gas station. He was driving a black, 2013 Ford Explorer with license plate EBU108. His direction of travel from the gas station is unknown.

The man is believed to be wearing pajama pants, a sweatshirt, and slippers.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Chocolay Township Police Department at 906-249-4040, or call 911. Do not message on Facebook, as the page is not regularly monitored.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
