Man with memory loss missing in Marinette County

LAKE, WI— The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who walked away from his house in the town of Lake Tuesday.

Norm Hoefert left his home on Right of Way Road near Pioneer Road around 12:50 p.m. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, blue shirt, and blue jeans. He has a slight build.

Officials say Hoefert has memory issues.

Deputies are asking anyone in the area to check their properties, outbuildings, and game cameras.

Anyone who may have seen Hoefert is asked to call Marinette County Dispatch at 715-732-7627.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
