MSP search for missing Byron Center man continues in Schoolcraft County

MANISTIQUE, MI— Michigan State Police from the Manistique Outpost continue to search for a missing downstate man.

Timothy Lawrence, 51, from Byron Center, was reported missing on August 30. He had crashed his car on Lang Road near US-2 in the area of Blaney Park and ran off before troopers arrived.

Lawrence is 6 feet and 220 pounds with blue eyes. He likely has a beard by now.

State Police have searched with the MSP Canine Unit and MSP Aviation Unit Drone but have not yet found Lawrence.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
