Disney's "Newsies" will light up the stage at Ishpeming High School from April 18th through the 20th.

The New York City newsboy strike of 1899 is the focal point in the musical from 1992, which then became a musical film the same year. The popular show features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Jack Feldman, and a book by Harvey Fierstein. The production features songs like "Carrying the Banner," "Seize the Day," and "King of New York" which have remained popular.

Caitlin Palomaki is the IHS choir director, leading the production of "Newsies," which opens on April 18th, 2024 at the Peterson Auditorium.

Kurt Hauswirth interviewed Ethan and Connor, playing the roles of Albert and Racetrack respectively.:
