A Midwest music tour will stop in Marquette this week, featuring the folk-influenced music of Sadie Gustafson-Zook and Brittany Ann Tranbaugh.
The Crib on 401 North Third Street will host the musicians (along with Marquette's Raymond Little) for an evening of music. Sadie recently released a new album, "Where I Wanna Be," while Brittany is celebrating the release of a new single, titled "Bushwick." Both artists shine at songwriting and guitar playing, utilizing past experiences to flesh out their perspectives on life.
Sadie has won various awards for songwriting from competitions like the Kerrville Folk Festival's New Folk Contest, Rocky Mountain Folk Fest's Songwriter Showcase, and the NewSong + LEAF Songwriting Contest.
Brittany's queer Americana song "Kiss You" won Song of the Year in the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and she recently quit her office job to pursue music full-time.
