Peter White Public Library recently received big news from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Marquette's local public library is one of 62 nonprofit organizations nationwide selected to receive another Big Read Grant from the NEA, which means they get $16,600 to support a community reading program. The book is Roz Chast's graphic memoir Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant?, with topics of intergenerational communication and elder care. Peter White Public Library will partner with various local organizations to host events such as writing workshops, art exhibits, and a virtual appearance by Roz Chast.
Kurt Hauswirth spoke with Marty Achatz about the NEA Big Read for March of 2025:
Some of the March 2025 events include:
- Author Virtual Keynote Presentation by Roz Chast, March 10th, 2025
