Marquette's popular vinyl event, "Geoff & Jon’s Record Show," is set for its final appearance of the calendar year on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at Blackrocks Brewery. The one-day-only show will run from noon until 11:00 PM, offering the community an open market, swap meet, and gathering to celebrate physical music and media.
Organizers Jon Teichman, advisor to the NMU Vinyl Record Club, and Geoff Walker have teamed up for over a decade, and this single-day format marks a new phase for their popular event. The move to a concentrated one-day show at the centrally located Blackrocks Brewery is designed to maintain the organizers’ health and ability to continue hosting the events, with the venue's spot on Third Street making it easily accessible, particularly close to Teichman's shop, The Emporium.

The show is renowned for its immense, diverse inventory, featuring thousands of new and used items. This upcoming event promises a wide range of genres, from rock, metal, punk, funk, and folk to jazz, classical, and electronic dance music (EDM). Rare and notable items for sale include an original pressing of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab edition, sealed original pressings of Native American songs and celebrations, and soundtracks like the original Tron and Daft Punk's Tron Legacy.
The organizers emphasize that they cater to all tastes, famously declaring they have everything from "ABBA to Zappa," and encourage visitors to embrace all forms of music—a shift from past decades' judgments on what is "cool."
The event is a multi-media experience, not limited to records. Geoff and Jon will be selling CDs, cassettes, 8-tracks, reel-to-reels, LaserDiscs, VHS tapes, and DVDs, with a focus on music-related media.
Public Radio 90's Kurt Hauswirth spoke with Teichman and Walker about the show:
For attendees interested in trading or selling their own collections, the organizers advise arriving early in the day, when foot traffic is lower. While they welcome looking at one or two representative items, those with large collections are encouraged to either bring a few examples or schedule a dedicated house call later.
This final record show of the year, presented in part by the NMU Vinyl Record Club, offers a prime opportunity for holiday shopping and for the community to engage with the physical media landscape one last time before the end of the year.
