Bradley and Marty Achatz to preview the upcoming edition of “Northwords and Music,” titled “Summer Dreams.” Scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Peter White Public Library Community Room, the free 90-minute event brings together a lively blend of local poetry, storytelling, comedic skits, and acoustic music. The in-studio conversation highlighted the playful rapport between Bradley and Achatz, whose decades-long friendship fuels a collaborative production designed to evoke laughter, nostalgia, and emotional connection.
In a raucous preview of the show, they explain how they intend to touch on personal aspirations, growing older, and the quiet moments of summer. Both Bradley and Achatz offered some examples of poetry and storytelling, sharing pieces that reflected on cosmic existence, parental love, and warm summer evenings. They also praised their fellow ensemble members, including performers Jacque Love, Jim Edwards, and Public Radio 90’s Nicole Walton, as well as musicians Linda Smith and Seamus Collins of Big Lake Acoustic.
