Brandon and Fiona: Truthfully Living

Brandon, Dasan and Fiona

Fiona Byrne Ryan and Brandon Garlow embarked on a journey last year to assist Indigenous causes by running 227 miles of the North Country Trail from Michigan to Northern Minnesota. Fiona—a native of Dublin, Ireland—and Brandon—a Native American from Detroit—are back in the Upper Peninsula, back to basics, and back in alignment, they say, with their souls.

Public Radio 90 News Director Nicole Walton caught up with them and their 2-year-old son recently at the Ishpeming Public Library.

Their new website: www.truthfullyliving.com.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
