MADISON, WI (AP)-- Governor Scott Walker says he won't accept a Cabinet position if a Republican is elected president, plans to remain on as governor through the end of his term, and is undecided about whether to seek a third term in 2018.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Walker made the comments in a call with donors Wednesday. Walker abruptly dropped out of the race Monday after fundraising dried up.
Walker also told donors his campaign didn't have enough money to continue and he wasn't convinced that downsizing his staff and budget would have allowed him to win the GOP nomination.
A spokeswoman for Walker told The Associated Press she was not on the call and couldn't immediately verify the governor's remarks.
