Interview: Dr. Erin Colwitz, Marquette Choral Society's Summer Sing

Marquette Choral Society / Marquette 365

The Marquette Choral Society usually rehearses in the Fall and Winter semesters at Northern Michigan University.  This year, they are holding their first Summer Sing, giving singers of all kinds an opportunity to rehearse and perform a concert in the summer, when schedules can be more forgiving.

The Summer Sing concert is also a benefit for NMU students who will travel with the Marquette Choral Society on their trip to Italy in 2020.

This program features music of American choral music, spirituals, George Gershwin, world folk songs, and more.

The Marquette Choral Society Summer Sing concert takes place Sunday, August 18th at 3pm at St. Michael Catholic Church.  Donations are welcome to support NMU student travel expenses.  More information can be found at the Marquette Choral Society website, or on Facebook.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
