The park made the list under Wild Beautiful Places. The publication selected 25 of top travel destinations for 2021 and park was selected because "Nature runs wild on Michigan’s untamed Isle Royale, a best-kept secret of a national park in the northwestern corner of Lake Superior.

Isle Royale is the nation’s least-visited national park and is only accessible by seaplane or ferry. It features 45 miles of unblemished wilderness.
