Marquette Choral Society & Public Radio 90's "A Sing-Along Messiah," Sat. Dec. 5th

Marquette Choral Society

Marquette Choral Society and Public Radio 90 invite you to celebrate the season with a fun, safe and festive event: A Sing-Along Messiah!

Choirs are missing singing together due to Covid safety and health concerns, and gatherings are considered unsafe during the pandemic. A solution to these issues is a collaborative, online event, that allows for a safe (online) gathering, and a way to sing and be merry together!

Public Radio 90 was approached by the Marquette Choral Society for this collaboration, and WNMU-FM's Kurt Hauswirth spoke with Sarah Rimkus, Marquette Choral Society's Publicity Chair, and discuss what the event is, how to participate, and what you need:

For more information, go to the Marquette Choral SocietyA Sing-Along Messiah event page here.

To register directly, go to this eventbrite.com link.

Join us from the comfort of your own home on Zoom for this sing-along event, with music broadcast on Public Radio 90, available at wnmufm.org or on your radio. Selections will be sung from Handel's Messiah, from Marquette Choral Society's recording of th epiece, along with additional Christmas classics and new favorites. Other festivities during the event include games, musical truvia, a festive outfit competition and more!

Tune in for the music at 3pm December 5th on Public Radio 90, and join the Zoom event for a simultanous festive celebration!

We hope to see you there!

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
