UPDATE: Gladstone man missing

UPDATE, 5/19/21:  The body of Alfred Henning was found on Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. along the shoreline on the 2000 block of S. Lakeshore Drive. No cause of death has been released.

GLADSTONE, MI--   Law enforcement is looking for a missing Gladstone man.

Alfred Henning, 72, was last seen Monday around 3 p.m. walking north on 14th Street near his home on Montana Avenue. Gladstone Public Safety says he normally walks every day in the city.

Officers are asking everyone with exterior cameras to check their video and their yards and outbuildings.

Henning is about 5’4” and 115 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a camo hoodie and a baseball hat.

Anyone who may have information on Henning’s whereabouts is asked to call Gladstone Public Safety at 906-428-3131 or Central Dispatch at 906-786-5911.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
