The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 1.78 million students in the U.S. have tried electronic cigarettes. Their use has risen dramatically in just one year.
No Big Waves In The Labor Pool
Friday's news from the Labor Department offers a snapshot of an economy that's treading water. Employers added 175,000 jobs in May, and the unemployment rate ticked up to 7.6 percent. The numbers show "the ongoing slog in the labor market," one economist said.

June was a good month for job creation, according to the new Labor Department report. Employers added 288,000 positions to payrolls and the unemployment rate fell to 6.1 percent.

Mideast Press Tries to Name the War
What should the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah be called? Nearly a dozen labels are emerging in the Arab and Israeli press, from "The 6th War" to "The Hezbollah War" to "The Latest Israeli Aggression." Some war watchers think the simple and neutral "The 2nd Lebanon War" will stick. But one Lebanese journalist points out that this name ignores his country's other conflicts.
