Howard Hello: 'Lazy'

Howard Hello
Howard Hello

Working with several groups such as Sleeping People, Prints, Tarantel, and Pinback, Kenseth Thibideau is constantly creating music in whatever way possible. He collaborates with Marty Anderson (Okay, Dilute) on an intimate project called Howard Hello. For their EP, they worked with additional musicians, including Amber Coffman of the Dirty Projectors, to produce beautifully ambient, acoustic and electronic pop.

The featured track "Lazy" begins with choir-like female vocals and looped acoustic guitar. The song seems carefully arranged with programmed beats and samples of alarm clocks and telephones. While it still has some ambient elements of keyboards and strings, the last track "It's O.K.," ends the CD with a more straightforward guitar and drum feel.

The album was released as a split CD on Sickroom Records with the instrumental band Greenness. All of the proceeds from the album go to the Children's' Musical Education in St. Augustine, Florida.
