Jacobetti veterans home to get new chief

MARQUETTE, MI--   The chief operating officer of the Jacobetti Home for Veterans is leaving his post.

Brad Slagle has been tapped as interim CEO of the Michigan Veteran Health System.  Steve Rolston, MVHS Vice President of Operations, will oversee day-to-day operations at the Jacobetti home. 

Slagle began his new job November 28.  He served as business manager and deputy administrator of the home from 1999 to 2005, then administrator. 

Rolston has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 2001, and holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Davenport University and a certificate in long-term care administration from Michigan State University’s Broad School of Business.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
