PAAC deciding what to do about Vista Theater roof

Facebook

NEGAUNEE, MI--   The roof of the Historic Vista Theater in Negaunee has caved in.

The portion over the auditorium collapsed Wednesday morning. No one was injured.

Officials with the Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council has been planning renovations on the building’s roof and plumbing for some time. They held an emergency meeting Wednesday night to discuss what can be done to repair the catastrophic damage. Members say they'll release a statement about the situation within the next 48 hours.

In the meantime, no one is to enter the building for safety’s sake.

For more information about the theater go to vistatheater.org.
