Ishpeming accident leaves four injured

  Ishpeming, MI - Four people are injured following a two-vehicle accident in Ishpeming. According to city police, 48-year old Peter Lund, of Wausaukee, Wisconsin, was driving east on US-41 when he struck a westbound vehicle, driven by 82-year old Jeannine Nora, of Negaunee, attempting  to make a left turn into the Huron Mountain Bakery. Police say Lund had the right-of-way.

Lund and his passengers, 51-year old Sandra Lund and 7-year old Sebrianna Lund, were taken to Bell Memorial where they were treated for minor injuries and released. Nora was taken to Bell Memorial where she is listed in stable condition.

Ishpeming Police were assisted at the scene by the Ishpeming Township Police, Marquette County Sheriff’s department, the Michigan State Police, Marquette County Rescue unit 131, Bell Memorial EMS, and the Ishpeming Fire department.

The accident remains under investigation.
