Injuries reported in Breitung Township snowmobile accident

BREITUNG TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Wisconsin man has been injured in a snowmobile accident in Dickinson County’s Breitung Township.  

Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post say Friday around 4:30 p.m. Justen Burmesch, 32, of Saukville was on Trailhead #2 when he failed to negotiate a corner.  He lost control of the snowmobile and was ejected.

Burmesch was taken to Dickinson County Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
