CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Chocolay Township.

Police say the accident happened Wednesday at 12:12 p.m. at the corner of US-41 and M-28.  Tyler Juntunen, 20, of Lake Linden was southbound on 41 when he turned east and into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Terry Debruyn, 64, of Skandia.  The vehicles crashed head-on.

Juntunen and his passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Chocolay Fire Department using the Jaws of Life.  They were taken to UP Health System Marquette for treatment.  Debruyn sought his own treatment.

Juntunen was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
