Snowmobile crash in northern Wisconsin kills 75-year-old man

LAND O' LAKES, WI (AP)--   A 75-year-old Wisconsin man has died in a snowmobile crash in the northern part of the state. 

The Vilas County Sheriff's Department got a 911 call about the crash in Land O' Lakes about 10 a.m. Saturday.

According to a preliminary investigation, the victim was operating the snowmobile alone on a marked route when the machine left the roadway on a curve and struck some trees, throwing the man. He died at the scene.

Authorities have not released the victim's name or hometown.
