ADAMS TOWNSHIP, MI-- A Hancock man has been killed in a snowmobile crash in Adams Township.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened Saturday around 3 a.m. on Trail No. 3 between South Range and Atlantic Mine.
Matthew Heikkinen, 50, was northbound when he lost control of his snowmobile and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Michigan State Police and Adams Township First Responders assisted at the scene.
