ELY TOWNSHIP, MI-- A moose was killed in a crash with a vehicle in Marquette County’s Ely Township
Saturday night.
Ishpeming Township Police and Fire officials were called around 10 p.m. to US-41 near County Road CKL. They say a Ford Taurus was westbound on the highway when it struck a moose in the roadway. The driver and passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The moose was dead by the time emergency personnel arrived.
The Ishpeming Police Department assisted at the scene.
