Woman found dead in Menominee residence, another found unresponsive

MENOMINEE, MI--   Two women were found unresponsive in the city of Menominee earlier this week. 

The Eagle-Herald reports officers were called Sunday around 8:15 a.m. to the 1200 block of 31st Avenue and initiated CPR on a 31-year-old woman.  She was taken to Bay Area Medical Center, then to Green Bay.  She was not expected to survive. 

Officers believe the incident was drug-related.

On Monday around 5 p.m. police found a 39-year-old woman dead at a residence on the 2500 block of 16th Avenue.  The cause of death is unknown at this time.  An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday in Escanaba. 

Both incidents remain under investigation.
