SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— Michigan State Police are investigating the crash of a Sault Ste. Marie Police Department patrol car on Saturday.
Just after 4 p.m., the police car was involved in a traffic crash with a civilian vehicle at the intersection of 3 Mile Road and Ashmun Street. The officer involved was responding to an emergency call.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. Officials say neither driver was seriously injured.
Michigan State Police from the Soo Post are investigating the incident. The Soo Police Department is not releasing any additional information at this time.
