Kinross Man Pleads Guilty to Murder

By Anthony Reynolds

Sault Ste. Marie, MI – A Chippewa county man has plead guilty to murdering a Kinross woman last fall. Authorities say 47 year old Daniel Oberle shot and killed Shirley Hall in November of 2003 while she was asleep with the parties' 11 year old daughter. Michigan State Police located Hall's body submerged in Kinross Lake. Oberle pleaded guilty to second degree murder in 50th Circuit Court last Friday. A sentencing has yet to be scheduled.
