Ishpeming Resident Promoted to Land Management Position at Cliffs Technology Group

Ishpeming, MI – Cliffs Technology Group has named Mark D. Dryer the new Area Manager of Land Administration. Dryer has worked for the company since 1975 when he started as a surveyor. In his new position he will manage the economic and physical aspects of all Cleveland-Cliffs land in North America. The Ishpeming resident earned a bachelor's degree in forestry and land management from Michigan Technological University. He is on the board of directors of the Marquette Range Iron Mining Heritage Theme Park and founded the Upper Peninsula Scale Modelers. Cliffs Technology Group belongs to the larger Cleveland-Cliffs Inc, the largest producer of iron ore pellets in North America. The company operates 6 iron ore mines in Michigan, Minnesota and Eastern Canada.
