Negaunee Man Accused of Possession of a Narcotic, Driving with Suspended License

Marquette, MI – A Negaunee man has been arrested for Possession of a Narcotic and Driving With a Suspended License. Roger James Hill, 43, was arrested March 11 after a routine traffic stop. A search of the vehicle revealed several partial pills of Methadone, which Hill is believed to have gotten from an acquaintance. Hill is lodged in the Marquette County Jail in Lieu of a $25,500 bond. Possession of a Narcotic is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Driving While License Suspended--2nd offense is a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine. A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled for March 28 in Marquette's 96th District Court.
