Marquette chefs fight domestic violence

By Nicole Walton

Marquette, MI – The Marquette Women's Center is holding a tasty fundraiser to support shelter services. This is the fourth year the Chefs Against Domestic Violence dinner will be held at the Landmark Inn. Women's Center Program Director Jane Richards says all proceeds from the seven-course dinner will go to the Harbor House domestic violence shelter. She says the Center needs to hold such events to raise funds to combat the widespread problem of violence in the home.

Richards says Women's Center services include counseling, financial resources, and a much-needed support system for children. Tickets are sold out for the event, which takes place Monday night.
