Marquette, MI – The city of Marquette along with four other Michigan cities, has adopted a goal to reduce overall water consumption by
15-percent. Kurt Goodman is the Superintendent of Marquette's Waste Water Department. He says the initiative's goal is to better conserving the area's natural resources. Goodman says the city is already thinking of ways to make changes. The city, he says, is already planning on replacing decade old water equipment to prevent water loss.
Goodman says the ultimate goal of this project is not only to conserve water, but to teach residents the importance of protecting our natural resources.
