Negaunee, MI – Negaunee Police are cautioning residents to be more careful with their vehicles. Officers say three vehicles have been stolen in the area over the past week. Two of them have been recovered. In all three incidents the doors were unlocked and the keys were left in the ignition.
Officers say thieves will usually not take the time to break into a locked vehicle; they'll pick the easiest target, which is an unlocked one. Police say residents should keep their vehicles, garages, and homes locked when not in use, and valuables should not be left in plain view.
