Iron Mountain man faces O.W.I. charges after rolling vehicle, injurying passenger

By William Beacom

Dickinson County, MI – An Iron Mountain man has been scheduled for a preliminary exam in Dickinson County District Court. Dickinson County Sherriff Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Pine Mountain Road and US-2 last Thursday. Officials say the driver, 40-year-old Ronald Pratt, failed to stop at the intersection striking a culvert and rolling the truck that eventually came to a stop in a field. Pratt was ejected from the vehicle sustaining injuries and the passenger, who's name has not been released, suffered an arm injury. Both were treated at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. The passenger was later transported to another facility while Pratt was released and taken to jail.

Pratt faces charges of 1-count of Operating While Intoxicated causing serious injury, a felony; and 1-count of Driving While Licensed Suspended, a misdemeanor. Pratt is scheduled for a preliminary examination on May-18th.
