Marquette, MI – Tuition at Northern Michigan University in Marquette is set to increase for the 2010-2011 school year. The Board of Trustees approved the decision at a meeting that took place friday. A full-time undergraduate NMU student will see a 5 percent increase to
$7,864 for the year. Officials say to offset the boost in costs, tuition credits will also be increased to assist students with help from $1.3 million dollars in federal stimulus funds. The overall rate increase is $205 more per semester however, that will decrease to $13 after the stimulus funds are applied.
