Chippewa County, MI – A two-vehicle accident in Chippewa County has claimed the life of a downstate woman.
State Police from the Newberry Post say the crash happened Wednesday around 12:50 p.m. at the intersection of M-28 and M-123 near Eckerman.
Neva Flak, 83, of St. Johns was a passenger in a Buick that pulled into the path of a pickup truck, which broadsided the car. Flak died of her injuries, and the driver of the car was also hurt.
The accident remains under investigation.
