Marquette, MI – Officials with the City of Marquette are reminding residents about sites where they can drop off their Christmas trees.
The first is located at the western end of Lakeview Arena's parking lot, inside the orange fencing. The second is at the Baraga Avenue ice rink at 850 West Baraga.
All decorations and stands need to be removed from the trees before disposal. Residents have until January 16 to drop their trees off.
Properties that use green bags for their garbage and yard waste are eligible to use the sites. Owners and tenants of properties that don't purchase the bags should contact their regular waste hauler for service.
