Grand Rapids, MI – The younger brother of the late Princess Diana says he didn't immediately understand the impact his famous sister had on the world.
Earl Spencer said Monday at a Grand Rapids business group meeting that he still has to remind himself that the "global celebrity" was the sister he "grew up with."
The Grand Rapids Press" says Spencer also toured the Grand Rapids Art Museum's exhibition, "Diana--A Celebration." The show runs through February 16. Its 150 items include the gown and diamond tiara she wore for her 1981 marriage to Britain's Prince Charles.
The couple had two sons before their divorce in 1996. Diana and two others died in a 1997 car crash in Paris.
The exhibition helps raise money for the Diana, Princess of Wales Fund.
