Marquette, MI – A suit against the Citadel project in Marquette can proceed. That's according to Circuit Court Judge Thomas Solka, who Monday morning denied a motion by the City of Marquette to dismiss the suit.
Citadel neighbors Mary and Phillip Schneeberger appealed the decision of the Board of Zoning Appeals to grant a construction permit for the six-story structure.
City Attorney Ron Keefe challenged the Schneeberger's legal standing, but Solka says the case will move ahead and its merits will be argued at a March hearing.
A stay on construction will continue until the case is resolved.
