Marquette, MI – A judge has cleared the way for construction of an addition to the Marquette Citadel.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Solka issued a 21-page decision Tuesday, saying the Marquette City Board of Zoning Appeals proceeded legally and correctly in approving the six-story building project in the downtown area.
Ridge Street residents Phillip and Mary Schneeberger appealed the board's decision, saying the addition would block several people's view of Lake Superior and diminish green space.
The decision means developers can proceed with construction.
The Schneebergers and their attorney say they'll continue to look into the matter.
